CLEANING FAUX ALLIGATOR/CROCODILE/SNAKE SKIN SHOES

Animal Skin shoes are one of a kind, unique and classy. As with all kinds of shoe fabrics, there are however faux versions which are more budget friendly than the real thing. They also require a lot care to keep them looking as neat as possible. Due to the rough nature of the leather, the lines in between tend to hold on to dirt, thereby making your shoes look dirty. With pastel colors (bright colors such as light pink, pale blue, mint green and so on), the effect is usually worst.

We are briefly going to look into how to clean such dirt and how to prevent them from reoccurring.

 Instructions
  1. Soak a soft cloth in water and wring out until it is only damp. Wipe the animal skin down with the damp cloth. Do this carefully, to avoid catching the leather on the cloth and causing any damage.
  2. Wipe any excess moisture off of the leather with a dry cloth, until the leather is completely dry. Don't let any moisture sit on the faux leather, as this will dry it out and eventually cause damage.
  3. Follow the steps in cleaning faux leather shoes, paying attention to the lines in the leather especially with your pastel colored shoes.
Remember, for your shoes to last long and to get the best value for your money, take care of them as you would your clothes, human hair e.t.c.
