On The Radar- Up and Coming Footwear Designer, Nicolo Giannico Beretta

As a shoe lover with a passion for the art that goes into creating each pair, I get excited when I see something fresh. New seasons mean new designs, and new designs from new designers are always a breath of fresh air.

Here I am, going through the new collections of the Fall/Winter 2015 and I peep this amazing design.

The texture, the color, the design got me really interested and so I look further and find out it’s by an Italian designer. He’s 19 years old, not your average teenager and well on his way to becoming a major player in the fashion industry as a footwear designer as he stands at the helm of a high-end shoe company through which he aims to generate a revenue exceeding $1million by the end of 2015. He is Nicolo Giannico Beretta and is definitely on top of his design game.

His big break came after a meet and greet where he met with the legend Manolo Blahnik at London Department store Harvey Nichols and got very positive feedback after Manolo viewed his portfolio.

He has since been on the roll after he presented his first collection at the 2013 Fall/Winter fashion weeks in Milan and Paris. His designs have been highly praised by fashion icons Franca Sozzani,
Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Giuseppe Zanotti and co with 3collections under his name.
